Senior Environmental Employment (SEE) Program Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)

The Center for Workforce Inclusion is recruiting for a position within the Senior Environmental Employment (SEE) Program which provides support to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in Boston, MA. Successful candidates must meet the age criteria of being 55 years of age or older and eligible to work in the United States. Selected candidates will also be required to undergo a federal security background check.

Selected individual will provide support to the Emergency Planning & Response Branch (Superfund Removal Program) by conducting potentially responsible party research, cost recovery and other enforcement and general removal program activities utilizing publicly available information, federal, state and local records, and EPA legal templates, policies and guidances. Individual must be self-motivated, detailed oriented, able to work independently and well with others, manage multiple demands, and write succinctly.

• Removal Enforcement: obtain property and corporate ownership information, obtain access consent, conduct historical research, draft enforcement strategies, review draft action memorandums, prepare notice letters and information requests and review responses.
• Cost Recovery: craft ability-to-pay correspondence and financial information requests demand letters, closeout memos, liens, bills, settlement agreements and Federal Register Notices.
• Records Management and Removal Program Tracking: maintain active site records according to Superfund Site File Breaks and prepare and submit files to Superfund Records Center; maintain site charts to display current information and progression through removal process.

Successful candidates must meet the age criteria of being 55 years of age or older and eligible to work in the United States; able to pass a Federal Background check; HS diploma; 5 years of related experience; researching, writing, analyzing, & multi tasking. Must demonstrate ability to work independently as well as in a team environment and provide high level of customer service to internal and external customers; strong Microsoft Office Suites preferred.

Full-Time position working 40 hours per week @ $18.16 per hour, holidays, vacation, and sick leave.
