Agriculture Conservation Experienced Services (ACES) Program US Forest Service (FS)

The Center for Workforce Inclusion is recruiting for an Engineer position in the Forest Service’s Agriculture Conservation Experienced Services (ACES) Program (55 or older) to work with the U. S. Forest Service’s National Construction Certification Program (NCCP).

Produce engineering manual to describe the National Construction Certification Program (NCCP), the two certification paths, the coursework needed to obtain certification, etc.  The manual shall serve as a desk reference for the Regional Construction Certification Officers (RCCO) in carrying out day-to-day NCCP operations.  The manual shall include any forms required as part of the processes.  End use product is a publishable file in Word and a PDF.

  • Develop draft manual outline
  • Produce the technical manual draft
  • Develop any new NCCP forms required, i.e.: Request for Certification, waiver request, oral exam form
  • Accept edits, corrections; include them in revisions of manual
  • Produce and provide final NCCP Manual in a publishable format

The successful candidate must be age 55 or older; possess a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; 15 years relevant experience in related field; Proficient in MS Office applications; professional Engineer; prior Forest Service certification as NCCP PW COR and or NCCP ER.

Part‐time position @ $55.00 per hour.
