The Center for Workforce Inclusion is recruiting for an Environmental Specialist in the Senior Environmental Employment (SEE) Program (55 years of age or older) to work at the US EPA Region 10 Office located in Seattle, WA.

Position assists the Region 10’s Lead Based Paint Enforcement Program in meeting its ultimate goal of eliminating childhood lead poisoning from lead‐based paint in Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington. Responsibilities include:

  • Serve primarily as a Data Analyst, researching and gathering information for inspectors and case developers for the purpose of investigations into violations of the Lead Based Paint Regulations.
  • Work closely with inspectors and case developers to assist inspections and case development.
  • Work on outreach, education, compliance assistance with the Lead Based Paint Regulations, and implementation of the Lead Based Paint Regulations to Region 10 communities impacted by lead exposures.

Successful candidates must: meet the age criteria of being 55 years of age or older and eligible to work in the United States; be able to pass a Federal Background check; have a BA/BS degree in Science, Health, Chemistry, Toxicology, Environmental Health or Environmental Studies, Biology, Business, Engineering, Asbestos, Lead, Industrial Hygienist, or Construction Management and and a minimum of 2 years related experience in any of these fields; possess basic skills with computers and experience using Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and computer database applications; have good oral and written communications skills and desire to work in a collaborative team environment.

Full‐Time position working 40 hours per week, pay begins at $34,091 per year ($16.39 per hour), employer paid health insurance and generous vacation/sick/holiday leave.
