The Center for Workforce Inclusion is recruiting for 2 Lead-Based Paint Inspector positions within the Senior Environmental Employment (SEE) Program that provides support to the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in Edison, New Jersey
This position will work in the Lead-Based Paint Program in Region 2 to eliminate childhood lead poisoning. Assisting with outreach, education, compliance assistance and implementation on the lead regulations. Conduct Lead-Based Paint inspections (see Specific Lead Duties below) to document compliance with the Lead-Based Paint regulations, provide needed technical and compliance assistance, and assist with outreach to Region 2 communities impacted by Lead exposures.
1) Conduct inspections under TSCA (abatement, disclosure, RRP) under TSCA § 11(a) authority
2) Prepare reports and draft case review documents
3) Input and maintain written and electronic inspection data
4) Respond to written and electronic and telephone inquiries
5) Provide Compliance Assistance
6) Other duties as assigned
Successful candidates must meet the age criteria of being 55 years of age or older and eligible to work in the United States; able to pass a Federal Background check; BA/BS in Science, Health, Chemistry, Toxicology, Environmental Health or Environmental Studies, Biology, Engineering, Business; 4 years’ experience in any of the previous listed fields; oral and written skills; customer service oriented, public speaking and writing, works well alone and with a team, proficient in Windows Office Suite (MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint). Travel required.
Full-Time position working 40 hours per week @ $26,457 per year ($12.72 per hour), plus benefits including paid health insurance and generous vacation/ sick/holiday leave.
