Timber Resource Specialist Trainer                                                   

The Center for Workforce Inclusion is recruiting for a Timber Resource Specialist Trainer position in the Agriculture Conservation Experienced Services (ACES) Program (55 or older) to work at the White Mountain National Forest, White Mountain National Forest Supervisor’s Office in Campton, NH.

As an individual considered an expert in the field of Timber Resource Specialists, trains and coaches Forest Service employees performing duties covering the entire array Timber Resource activities, including:

  • Mentors, trains, and advises Timber Resource Specialist and Resource Assistants in the process of timber accounting, reporting, and billing.
  • Reviews processes of working with Timber Sale Contracts, purchasers, and districts, and advises on activities and methods to make improvements.
  • Provides guidance and advice in the daily accounting and contractual tasks needed. Give them the tools needed to be able to teach the Resource Assistants as well.

Shadows and reviews work of Timber Sale Specialist as they work to learn the processes of accounting, accountability, and ensure contractual obligations are met as the Resource Specialist learns the daily, weekly, monthly, and annual tasks needed for success.

55 years of age or older; minimum 15 years of related experience; a valid driver’s license; ability to coordinate and conduct timber resource specialist duties; knowledge of federal timber sale contracts and contracting procedures; knowledge of timber accounting and databases; skill in communication and interpersonal relations; proficiency in MS Office products.

Part‐time position working up to 16 hours per week @ $35.00 per hour.
