Ann Manby to join Center for Workforce Inclusion as
Chief Workforce Development Officer
The Center for Workforce Inclusion (Center) is pleased to announce that Ann Manby will be joining the organization in July as Chief Workforce Development Officer. With two decades of experience in nonprofit finance and workforce development, Manby brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the Center’s efforts to empower older job seekers with in-demand skills and pathways to meaningful employment.
Manby joins the Center from Vantage Aging, where she oversaw the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) both as a Department of Labor National Grantee and as the sole state grantee for the Ohio Department of Aging. She was instrumental in expanding their service region to include operating Indiana’s state grant as the sole state grantee for the Indiana Department of Workforce Development.
Manby also developed and launched multiple innovative initiatives at Vantage Aging including a new Career Pathway Model for job seeker training, a Training and Supportive Service Navigator Model for job seeker support, and a Digital Inclusion Program for job seeker digital access and aptitude advancement.

As Chief Workforce Development Officer, Manby will lead the Center’s workforce development initiatives, including overseeing the Center’s Department of Labor National SCSEP grant and its multiple Federal Experienced Services Programs with agencies such as the National Park Service, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and the Forest Service. Manby will also lead the rollout of the new CWI Labs Digital Certification Program throughout the Center’s national network of job seekers and take a leadership role in the American Workforce Coalition.
Before focusing exclusively on workforce development, Manby served as the Chief Financial Officer of Vantage Aging for five years where she was responsible for financial planning strategies, budget development, and fiscal policy implementation. Manby had a six-year career in public accounting with a focus on nonprofit clients, and served as the Chief Financial Officer/Chief Operating Officer of United Way of Summit County. She has been recognized for her contributions to the community and was named a Woman of Distinction by Girl Scouts of Northeast Ohio in 2017 and 30 For the Future by the Greater Akron Chamber in 2010.
