Security jobs are a surprisingly good fit for older workers, who exhibit the maturity and observation skills the industry requires. Allied Universal works closely with the Center to create a pipeline of trained older workers. In 2017, Allied Universal hired nearly 11,000 older workers as security professionals and in administrative roles. That’s over 7% of Allied Universal’s workforce!
