AiA Diversity Summit
SSAI is proud to sponsor the AiA19 Diversity Summit. Our Chief Operating Officer, Donna Satterthwaite, will open and participate in the Summit which brings together thought leaders from across the field of aging for deep exploration into economic and social inequalities affecting diverse older adults. The Diversity Summit will be held on Wednesday, April 17th at 12:30.
The Changing Workforce: Opportunities for Older Workers
Christine Garland, Vice President of Workforce Development, will join leaders from across the nation to discuss The Changing Workforce: Opportunities for Older Workers. The panel will focus on The Senior Community Service Employment Program(“SCSEP”) of the Older Americans Act. SCSEP is the only federally funded training and employment program for older workers. The panelists will describe the issues and challenges in workforce development among diverse older adults, share best practices in serving mature workers, and discuss how generational diversity benefits employers. This engaging session will be held Thursday, April 18th at 10:00 am.

The ASA Aging in America Conference invites those dedicated to improving the lives of older adults to learn best practices and gain insights from leaders in the field about the current state of aging in America. The AiA19 conference will focus on critical and emergent topics facing the field of aging, as well as cutting-edge and responsive programmatic, research, policy, and advocacy efforts.
