For over six decades, CWI has led the way in workforce development, crafting innovative solutions to meet employers’ labor needs while empowering our nation’s 60 million older job seekers to achieve financial independence. We trace our roots to the National Council of Senior Citizens, launched in 1962 to advocate for older Americans. We are now the only national entity dedicated exclusively to the workforce development needs of workers 50+. Headquartered in Silver Spring, Md., near Washington, D.C., we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization headed by President and CEO Gary A. Officer and a board of directors.
