Maryland Economic Forum with U.S. Senator Ben Cardin (D-Md.)

June 1, 2021

Like the rest of the country, Maryland job-seekers are returning to a world of work with fewer employers, increased competition, and a need for different skills. Our community members most impacted by the intersection of COVID-19 and the fight for racial equity, including older. Black, Hispanic, and Asian workers, will also find that they often have access to the fewest resources to meet these challenges.

Gary A. Officer, President & CEO of the Center for Workforce Inclusion, sat down with U.S. Senator Ben Cardin (D-Md.) to discuss a number of critical workforce issues confronting our community: President Biden’s Infrastructure Plan, The American Rescue Plan, the American Jobs Plan, Black Lives Matter, and restoring civility to our political discourse.
