Senior Service America, Inc. (SSAI) and CVS Health (CVS) have entered into an agreement to provide on-the-job training to low-income, older workers in New York City. SSAI will identify, screen, and support qualified job seekers through its Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP). CVS will provide experienced-based training for front-of-store positions in its New York City retail locations.

Officer, President and CEO of SSAI. “On-the-job training at CVS locations will provide our job seekers with invaluable skills for securing sustainable employment and economic independence.”
SSAI will identify candidates for CVS training through its network of local partners located in New York State. Job seekers who are unemployed, over age 55, and have a family income of no more than 125 percent of the federal poverty level are eligible to apply for this training program.
CVS will provide on-the-job training in clerk and cashier positions as part of its commitment to recruit experienced workers into all areas of its business. Participants will gain valuable, transferable skills in areas such as customer service, confidentiality, quality assurance, inventory policies and procedures, and retail technology.
